Seafare Inn

Seafare History

The Seafare Inn has been serving fresh seafood in Whittier since 1961.

The restaurant was opened by Bill and Dorothy Milhous and is still owned and operated by the Milhous family. The original concept was to offer affordable, high quality seafood in a pleasant atmosphere. It was a novel idea at the time, and not regarded favorably by the local banker who denied the loan based upon Whittier's location 20 miles inland.

In spite of lack of a waterfront, the Seafare boasts many longtime regular clients, some of whom travel quite a distance for whole body Ipswich clams and other hard-to-find seafood items. The homemade cheesecake is unequaled anywhere and all soups, salad dressings, and sauces are made on-site.

The Seafare Inn is an unpretentious place offering excellent food at a reasonable price!

State and local sales tax will be added to prices of food and beverage served at the Seafare Inn. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
